Have you been hankerin’ for a hoe down?
If the answer is yes, join the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe for the 3rd Annual Peaks & Paws Festival featuring a fantastic line up of live music, local art, wine tasting, beer sipping and tons of dog-themed fun, including great guided hikes! All benefiting our community’s homeless pets.
This year’s lineup will include the Emmitt Nershi Band! That’s right, the linchpins of two legendary jam-bands Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon and Bill Nershi of String Cheese Incident will be headlining with their amazing band on Sunday night! Tahoe’s very own Dead Winter Carpenters will be headlining on Saturday night. And there’s more…including Head for the Hills and Tony Furtado.
Guests will find an incredible variety of animal themed artists & vendors from 11am to 6pm, wine tasting from 3 to 6pm with some of California’s best boutique wineries, amazing micro-brews available from 2 to 8pm and live bluegrass music on two stages from 2 to 8pm! This year we are proud to announce a greatly expanded music lineup, with some of the best national and regional bluegrass/Americana bands around. Everyone will be howling along as the sun sets on the peaks of Squaw Valley. $5 entry donation. $25 wine tasting ticket, per day, includes a commemorative glass. Beer will be available from 2 to 8pm, $4 per beer. All proceeds benefit Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.
Grab your friends and your dog and come out for a super fun weekend with us! Last year’s event was a ridiculous amount of fun, so don’t miss out, mark Saturday, August 25th and Sunday, August 26th on your calendar, polish up your dancin’ shoes and get ready for a two-day hootenanny!
