How does this compare to last year for the same six month period? In 2011 we saw 7 single family home sales in the first six months. The average price for a home sold was $1,527,142 and the median price was $1,650,000. The high sales price was $3,375,000 and the low was $335,000. The high price per sq ft was $496 and the low price per sq ft was $159. The average days on market was 170 days and the sold price as a percentage of the original sales price was 78%.
It is pretty obvious to see from the real estate statistics that 2012 has not fared as well as 2011 in the first half of the year. Last year saw on average higher sales prices and list prices. Will the second half of 2012 fair better? Only time will tell.
