Serene Lakes & Donner Summit

This winter wonderland is only for those who do not shy away from the snow. Donner Summit has been referred to as one of the snowiest areas in the US. There are winters when residents must exit their homes from their second story windows and balconies! The majority of residents are second homeowners. During the winter months there are many downhill ski areas to choose from such as Sugar Bowl and North America’s largest cross country ski area, Royal Gorge. Summer time activities are countless. Home prices range from about $250,000 to $1 million. Lots range between $50,000 and $400,000. Homes in the neighboring vicinity of Pla-Vada, Kingvale, Soda Springs, Norden and Cisco Grove may sometimes need to be accessed by snowmobile or skis during the winter months.
